4 medium-sized gooseberries (amla)
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 beetroot (peeled and thinly sliced)
handful of holy basil leaves
1/4 teaspoon ginger juice (grate fresh ginger and squeeze out the juice)
2 tablespoon honey (or more)
2 tablespoon black salt (adjust)
1. Boil the gooseberries for 5-8 minutes.When cooled grind them in little water (about 1/4 cup) and strain. Keep aside.
2. In a jar, add lemon juice and holybasil leaves. Using a muddler, mix them well.
3. Now add ginger juice, honey and black salt. Mix well.
4. Lastly pour in water, add lemon wedges and beetroot slices. Mix well and enjoy right away with or without ice OR keep in refrigerator for 4hours for better infused-flavour.
